Provide specialized assistance in the coordination and organization of construction, reconstruction, alteration and relocation of school buildings and facilities and other capital outlay projects; serve as primary contact person for contractors, architects, consultants and other outside contractors; provide technical information related to building or remodel designs, projects and other related information. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE OF building codes, construction law, labor regulations and applicable State bid requirements; building construction methods and materials and of the preparation of construction documents; interpretation and review of construction contracts and project specifications; district organization, operations, policies and objectives; interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy; health and safety regulations; technical aspects of field of specialty; record-keeping techniques; and basic computer operation. ABILITY TO provide specialized assistance in the coordination and organization of construction, reconstruction, alteration and relocation of school buildings and facilities and other capital outlay projects; communicate effectively with District personnel, agency representatives, contractors, architects, consultants and other outside contractors; read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, ordinances, codes and contracts; maintain district facility inventory and site plans; research, interpret and apply a variety of rules and regulations; facilitate the implementation of projects as directed by the Construction Project Manager including follow-through on project details; establish and maintain accurate record-keeping systems; work from blueprints, shop drawings and sketches; analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action; work independently with little direction. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma or equivalent supplements by college-level course work in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field and increasingly responsible experience in construction management, school facility planning or related field.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by college-level course work in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field and increasingly responsible experience in construction management, school facility planning or related field.
