Under the supervision of the site administrator, the Classroom Teacher provides an educational program for pupils in any grades Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade. The Teacher creates a flexible elementary program and a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth. The Teacher establishes effective rapport with pupils to motivate them to develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further participation in the total school program, in accordance with each pupil's ability and to meet the Common Core Standards. The Teacher establishes positive relationships with parents and other staff members. The ideal candidate will have previous knowledge of project-based learning, experience with multiple intelligences, and trauma-informed/restorative practices.
