Job Summary
The Community Care Counselor provides comprehensive support services to students and families, fostering a positive and inclusive school climate, addressing student needs, and promoting academic, social, and emotional well-being. The Counselor will work under the direction of the Executive Director. They will provide educational counseling, guidance, and related services to students in grades TK-8. This includes assessment, and individual and group counseling. The Community Care Counselor will collaborate with administration, teachers, and staff in planning, implementing, and monitoring positive behavior supports and interventions in the school setting. They will also facilitate communication and engagement between the school, parents/guardians, and the community, and address student discipline issues in a fair, consistent, and restorative manner.
