Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Fiscal Services, performs a variety of technical clerical duties involved in the input, maintenance and evaluation of school accounting and other required data; performs specialized technical financial tasks and related assigned duties. Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Performs a variety of financial record keeping work, applying standard procedures in the preparation, processing and maintenance of accounting and financial record keeping and/or statistical reporting. • Coordinates the account payable function; prepare invoices for payment, input information to the financial system and prepares warrants. • Processes and audits invoices per established procedures and verifies budget codes. • Reviews remittances, purchase orders, account codes, other materials for accuracy. • Matches invoices and receiving documents to purchase orders. • Contacts agencies and departments within and outside OPA regarding invoices and payments; resolves vendor statements. • Compile balances, verifies, adjusts, and maintains accounting records and reports. • Assists in the preparation of financial statements and other fiscal reports. • Makes complex mathematical calculations and verifies computation. • Assists in the revision, formulation and implementation of accounting record management systems and procedures. • Inputs a variety of financial and statistical data into an assigned computer system; maintains various automated records and files; initiates queries, develops spreadsheets and generates a variety of computerized reports and statements; assures accuracy of input and output data. • Reconciles various fiscal record, documents, and ledger accounts. • Prepares and verifies the accuracy of various financial and statistical reports. • Performs a variety of specialized technical financial tasks and functions related to accounting and record-keeping; revises and implements office procedures to ensure

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to: Two years of college level coursework in accounting or mathematics and four years of highly responsible experience in fiscal procedures and practices or equivalent. One year in a lead capacity is preferred.
