The Personnel Commission announces an OPEN and PROMOTIONAL recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. There is currently TWO positions open. One at Oceanside High School and One at El Camino High School. These are 8 hour/day, 12 month position.
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, administer emergent preventative and rehabilitative treatment to assist student athletes involved in CIF-sanctioned sports and physical activities in collaboration with coaches, staff, or physicians.
Requirements / Qualifications
Training and Experience
Education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with a minimum bachelor’s degree from a CAATE (Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education) accredited program in athletic training; and two years of extensive and demonstrated (paid or volunteer) experience in working with student athletes involving the care, management, and prevention of athletic injuries.
Licenses and Certifications
Possession of a valid Class C Driver’s License.
Current and valid CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer or Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Possession of a valid National Athletic Trainers Association BOC Certification.
National Provider Identification (NPI) number registration.
*Recertification to maintain current/valid status is a condition of employment
