This opportunity is open to all interested candidates. The San Diego Unified School District is recruiting for the position of Lead Pupil Accounting Specialist. The Lead Pupil Accounting Specialist will independently perform pupil accounting functions for the district; lead and direct the work of other pupil accounting specialists and clerical staff; calculate ADA for District and charter schools; develop a variety of reports in compliance with state requirements and district planning needs. There is one (1) vacancy scheduled to work 40 hours per week, 12 months per year.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to graduation from high school including or supplemented by formal bookkeeping or accounting training and four years of recent progressively responsible, full-time equivalent, paid bookkeeping, accounting, financial-clerical or fiscal-clerical experience. Two years experience in the district job class of Pupil Accounting Specialist II is desirable. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California driver’s license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided).
