Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, Special Education or designee, and under the supervision of the BCBA. The BCaBA is responsible for providing behavioral analysis services, collaborating with teachers and support staff to implement and evaluate Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and providing direct student support in both general and special education settings. The BCaBA assists with consultations, coaching, staff training, and developing instructional and behavioral strategies.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification. • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavior analysis, or a related field. • Experience working with students with autism, emotional disturbance, or behavioral disorders preferred. • Remain calm and solution oriented in crises situations • Strong written and verbal skills • Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills. • Ability to train and supervise support staff. • Knowledge of federal and state laws related to special education and behavior intervention. • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred. • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Experience working in K-12 educational settings within the specialized field of Applied Behavior Analysis. • Minimum of one to three years of experience as a Behavior Consultant or equivalent position in a school setting.
