Job Summary
Under the direction of the assigned site administrator and the District Special Education Director. The teacher provides both academic and functional support for Special Education students. This is to include, but not limited to support in, basic learning/subject skills, social and emotional competence, support for general education mainstreaming and transition program development. The teacher serves as the case manager for students assigned to his/her classroom. The activities of a case manager are varied depending on the site, the program, and grade level(s) of students involved.
