Ideal Candidate StatementWe are seeking an Instructional Technology Coordinator who will passionately and adeptly support Ohlone's faculty, staff, and students in using educational technologies, primarily Canvas LMS, Zoom, and MS Teams. The ideal candidate will have a history of promptly and comprehensively addressing faculty and student/customer inquiries. Proficiency in managing inquiries and delivering solutions through exceptional written communication is paramount. Joining our team of instructional designers and accessibility specialist, this role also assists with the planning, organization, and development of faculty professional development trainings and student information sessions. Specifically, the ideal candidate will have experience orchestrating events from inception to conclusion, encompassing scheduling, promotion, registration, logistics, facilitation, evaluation, and reporting. Candidates with experience in managing budgets, handling purchase orders, and maintaining department finances will find this role particularly appealing. Position DescriptionUnder general supervision, provides instructional technology support for distance education (currently housed under eCampus) programs and services. The Instructional Technology Coordinator is responsible for facilitating, organizing, and coordinating instructional technology activities and support related to instructional professional development, assessment, communication, technical and logistical support. The Instructional Technology Coordinator serves as a primary contact for faculty, staff and students regarding eCampus programs and services. The e-Campus Instructional Technology Coordinator plays a primary role in record keeping, budget tracking, and cross department coordination.
This position is remote optional, however, employees are expected to be on campus for pre-scheduled meetings and college-wide events unless the employee is on leave (sick, vacation, FMLA, etc.).
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide logistical support for training and professional development events, including calendaring, registration, attendance, attendee completion, and assessment.• Provide training for faculty and staff to effectively use and integrate instructional technology that supports student success.• Coordinate and facilitate student Canvas information sessions prior to Fall and Spring semester starts.• Collate registration, attendance records, and survey data for use in program review, strategic plan updates, and eCampus goals.• Participate in the development of the annual budget; analyze and review budgetary and financial data; control and authorize expenditures in accordance with established limitations.• Follow-up on late shipments and service performances and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies with contractors and accounting personnel for eCampus and the College.• Maintain up-to-date records for professional development attendance, including minimum qualifications, subsequent qualifications and individual faculty addenda reporting.• Establish and develop processes for handling support requests to ensure that requests are addressed in a timely fashion.• Develop and facilitate assessments that measure impact of technology learning support, and recommends change when appropriate.• Support the local course shell review process including, stipends, tracking, design and implementation feedback, planning and achievement of the benchmarks.• Develop and distribute regular communication to faculty and staff surrounding instructional technology and best practices.• Oversee the development and updating content on the eCampus website.• Contribute to the design and development of a repository of information on best practices for teaching and learning online, including universal design concepts and accessibility to be housed in the Learning Management System (LMS) or website.• Provide technical and troubleshooting support for various instructional technology.• Demonstrates sensitivity to and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of the Colleges' students, faculty, staff and community.• Effectively engage and support historically disproportionately impacted groups by addressing issues of equity and improving culturally responsive service-oriented practices.• Perform other related duties as assigned.Knowledge Of

Minimum QualificationsA Bachelor's degreeORfour (4) years experience in related field.ANDMust have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices.
Other RequirementsFlexible working schedule (during Learning College Week as well as Summer Session) to meet the needs of faculty and students working during the evenings and weekends.
Desirable QualificationsCoursework in instructional design, instructional technology, digital arts, or related field, and two (2) years experience with accessibility compliance techniques and testing tools in creation and repairing of documents.
