DUTIES: Under general supervision, to lead vehicle maintenance team; research, locate, purchase and account for vehicle supplies and parts; maintain fleet maintenance records; perform semi-skilled and skilled work in maintaining, diagnosing, and making repairs to gasoline and diesel equipment such as busses, trucks, and other mechanical equipment; to perform the full range of duties of Vehicle Repair Work and School Bus Driver; and perform related work as required. QUALIFICATIONS: - License Required: Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License with all unrestricted endorsements. Successful completion of the Driving and First Aid examinations for school bus drivers given by the CHP Certificate of physical/medical examination. California School Bus Driver's Certificate. - RESIG Post-Offer/Pre-Placement Physical, LiveScan Fingerprints and TB clearance required. - Knowledge of: Principles of leadership; vehicle maintenance and inventory record keeping; tools, equipment and procedures used in repairs; shop mathematics; provisions of California Vehicle Code, Education Code and District regulations; school district and surrounding area; appropriate safety precautions and procedures. - Ability to: Plan, layout, and correct work of transportation shop staff; use tools and equipment of automotive repair trade skillfully; maintain comprehensive and accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repair and shop.

- Clean DMV driving record - Possession of a valid California Class A or B Commerical Driver’s License with all unrestricted endorsements (school bus, air brake, passenger) *** - Successful completion of the Driving and First Aid examinations for school bus drivers given by the California Highway Patrol *** - California School Bus Driver Certificate *** - Post-Offer/Pre-Placement Assessment, Fingerprints, and TB test required upon initial employment.
