The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking an elementary school principal to provide leadership in coordinating and managing all aspects of a school campus by promoting the success of all students by developing, articulating, implementing, and promoting of a vision for learning that is shared and supported by the school community. The principal advocates a nurturing climate by sustaining a positive school culture that encourages relevant instructional programs conducive to student learning and staff professional growth. The principal will ensure effective management of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment. The principal will collaborate with families and community members, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing community resources. REQUIREMENTS -A master’s degree, supplemented by advanced coursework or training in the area of school administrator services. -Possession of an appropriate California Administrative Credential authorizing service as a 9-12 principal. -At least five (5) years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level. -Experience as an assistant principal, or service in other administrative leadership assignments.
PREFERENCES: -Elementary administrative experience -Experience with curriculum and instruction -Leadership experience -Experience with several of the following programs: *English Leaner Programs *Special Education *GATE *Educational Technology *PLC, PBIS, MTSS, Dual Language Immersion -Proficiency in Spanish.
