Job Summary
Job Summary
Provides an educational program for Independent Study students (High School) to prepare students for high school graduation. Responsible independent study instruction, identifying students' needs in relation to curricular objectives; applies a program of instruction consistent with students' learning needs, objectives, and instructional materials; uses appropriate teaching strategies; assesses student progress; and creates and manages a learning environment conducive to student learning.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; Master’s Degree preferred. • Two years successful teaching experience as a classroom or independent study teacher. • Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California teaching credential. • Social Emotional Learning experience working with At-Promise student groups preferred. • Valid California Driver's License • Valid California Teaching Credential • Valid California English Learner Authorization (e.g.,CLAD,BCLAD) • Provide proof of automobile insurance, if driving personal vehicle for work.
