Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of a program administrator, perform the necessary tasks to implement health policies, procedures, and emergency/medical health care plans; ensure health compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and California Community Care Licensing requirements; assess, refer and provide for the health needs of enrolled Head Start children and expectant mothers; develop and disseminate health education information to teachers, parents, and children.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: SCOE Classified Edjoin Application • SCAN AND ATTACH THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO YOUR APPLICATION - Current valid California State license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Current Valid PEDIATRIC CPR and First Aid Certification Valid Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) approved CPR and First Aid Certification covering adult, child, and infant (pediatric) using any of the following curricula: • American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), or • American Heart Association (AHA), or • American Red Cross (ARC), or • Pediatric CPR and First Aid offered at accredited colleges and universities
