Requirements / Qualifications
FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber of Commerce and Santa Rosa City Schools, teachers collaborate with local businesses to develop specialized curriculum focused on STEM topics. Typical class days focus on STEM concepts, practical application to experiential projects along with virtual tours, demonstrations and various hands-on activities. The selected teacher will lead their collaboration with assigned business representatives to create practical lessons that align with activities relevant to each participating business. Instruction will be in-person on a Santa Rosa City Schools campus. Business representatives will join either in-person or via Zoom. QUALIFICATIONS: - Possesses current California single or multiple subject teaching credentials - Teacher with math or science background preferred. - Minimum 2 years in teaching profession preferred. - Has current experience teaching mathematics and/or science at middle school and/or high school level preferred.
