Job Summary
The job of the School Bus Driver is for the purpose of providing support within the student transportation services area by transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from field/activity trips; ensuring vehicle is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses. This job reports to the Supervisor of Transportation Operations or designee.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE Job related experience is required in driving school buses; prefer experience managing school-aged children. Completion of high school or General Education Diploma (GED). Any combination equivalent to: One (1) year experience in the operation of a motor vehicle. (Please review the job description for more information) EXAMINATION PROCEDURES This is an open recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test or performance test and a structured oral interview. At the time of this announcement we are establishing a list for substitute positions in our District. Date of Examination Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email or telephone of the time, date, and place of the examination(s).
