Job Summary
The Culver City Unified School District Japanese Immersion Program (Dual Language) offers English-speaking students of various backgrounds and Japanese-speaking students an opportunity to learn from and with each other in an integrated setting. The goal of the program is to develop students mastery of academic content, proficiency in both English and Japanese, and bi-cultural understanding.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS - Fluency in Japanese - Must be an excellent language model in both Japanese and English - Possess a valid California Multiple Subject teaching credential with Bilingual Authorization in Japanese - Must have CLAD/English Language Learner certification or equivalent is required
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT All employment offers are conditional, based upon the successful completion of the following: Fingerprint/background clearance, and a tuberculosis clearance. A physical examination clearance is required for certain positions in the district. All candidates with a record of convictions must indicate such on the confidential/legal section of the application, which is attached to the job application. A record of conviction will not automatically disqualify an applicant from employment, but a failure to list all convictions may result in disqualification or dismissal.
