Job Summary

• Maintain State of California Preschool License requirements and State of California Health and Welfare Codes. • Assist Preschool Teacher with age appropriate activities by working with individual student or small groups of students (e.g. games, art, music, science, language, nutrition, assessments, etc.) for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts and by caring for student's needs. • Assist the Preschool Teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities. • Help manage the classroom environment, ensuring it remains organized and safe. • Supervise and engage with children during daily routines, including playtime, mealtime, and transitions. • Provide one-on-one support to children who need additional help with tasks or learning activities. • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to promote social and emotional development. • Assist in the preparation and organization of learning materials and classroom activities. • Help children with basic needs such as toileting, handwashing, and personal hygiene. • Observe and monitor children’s progress, behavior, and development, reporting any concerns to the Preschool Teacher. • Maintain open communication with Parents or Guardians about their child’s progress and behavior. • This Position requires a high level of confidentiality
