The Hermosa Beach City School District is nestled in a beautiful beach city just 7 miles south of the LAX airport. HBCSD is currently comprised of three school sites, Hermosa View, Hermosa Vista, and Hermosa Valley School. We are a TK through 8th grade school district with a friendly staff, an involved parent community, and high expectations. Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be an inspirational educational leader responsible for: Instructional leadership and ensuring the success of academic programs. Budget development and effective school operations. Fostering a positive school culture with high expectations for students and staff. Engaging with the community and participating in school and district activities. Ensuring compliance with district policies, the Education Code, Administrative Code, Title V, and Title 22. You will work closely with District Administration to plan for the school year to reach positive goals and outcomes for the students, teachers and school district. You are a forward thinker who can see the big picture when making decisions. You can also work collaboratively with the team to meet expectations and complete projects.

Qualifications/Experience:
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience
• Previous administrative experience desirable
Credential:
• Must hold or qualify for an Administrative Services Credential or the ability to obtain one
Skills:
• Cultural competency, and a demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive and thriving school environment
Compensation & Benefits
• 10 sick days per year
• $9,550 toward health benefits
• Annual master's stipend: $750 or doctorate stipend: $1,500
• Participation in CalSTRS retirement plan
