Job Summary

Range 3 ($80,068( maximum starting salary if new to the district. ELOP/CACFP Annual Stipend $9,000. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for all food service staff (employees & contractors) • Coordinate the administration of free-reduced meals applications • Prompt submission of monthly reimbursement forms to the District Office for review, approval, and transmission through the Child Nutrition Information & Payment System (CNIPS) following the month of service • Providing ongoing support to all kitchen staff to ensure all certifications are obtained • Lead regular professional development and team meetings with all kitchen staff • Continuously evaluate all practices (e.g. production, delivery, inventory, recordkeeping, etc.) to ensure efficiency and compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulations • Test food and other products prior to and after purchase to determine quality and program acceptability • Prepare monthly menus, check dietary balance and nutritional compliance in accordance with the National School Lunch Program • Responsible for the food service budget and build inventory, cost tracking, and yield loss to minimize waste • Identify opportunities to increase meal participation through menu items or delivery system • Develops bid specifications for food service operations and conformance with federal and state laws and regulations. • Distributes food secured from subsidy program and schedule usage • Manage food distribution with a focus on scheduling and reduced waiting time for students • Responsible for ensuring both student and staff safety in the food service areas • Attend any relevant trainings offered, as directed • Prepare, cook and serve food • Work with parents, advisory groups, or other groups to acquaint them with the school lunch program and to receive input. • Be responsible for and successfully pass state audits by the National School Lunch Program • Be responsible for and successfully pass faciliti
