Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Occupational Therapist provides educational occupational therapy services to students (birth through age twenty-one) and IEP team members. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the proper interpretation and performance of essential duties and responsibilities.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field. Ability to demonstrate utilization of required skills, knowledge and abilities in performing job duties and responsibilities. Must be registered as an Occupational Therapist with the American Therapy Association through the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT). Maintenance of this registration is a condition of continued employment. CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: A valid California Driver’s License Valid CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency within three months of hire. Must be registered as an Occupational Therapist with the State of California, as well as meeting requirements to keep certificate current.
