Job Summary

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the driving force behind College and Career Options, providing visionary leadership and operational excellence to advance the organization's mission. Reporting directly to the CCO Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for shaping and executing strategic initiatives while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. This role demands a dynamic leader who can optimize efficiency, strengthen program delivery, and foster a high-performing, cross­ functional team. The ideal candidate will balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution, driving measurable impact for the students and communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Raising: Lead federal and state government fundraising efforts, identifying and securing grants, contracts, and appropriations that align with the organization's mission and strategic goals.

Strategic Leadership: Drive the organization's strategic vision, ensuring alignment between long-term goals, operational priorities, and mission-driven impact.

Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the organization's daily operations and multiple funding streams, including program implementation, human resources, finance, and administrative functions. Ensure all operational activities align with strategic goals and uphold the organization's mission.

Program Oversight: Provide oversight of six TRIO programs. Manage three TRIO program directors to monitor high-quality, impactful program delivery. When necessary, recommend processes to improve program and advisor performance and outcomes for students.

Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Board to develop and execute long-term strategies that drive growth, increase program reach, and enhance operational effectiveness.

Team Management: Lead and mentor a diverse team of Advisors, Directors and other staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence within the organization.

Budget and Financial Oversight: Oversee the development and management of operational budgets. Ensure financial resources are allocated efficiently and responsibly to maximize impact and sustainability. Also, ensure strict adherence to all government-mandated practices and protocols.

Data and Impact Measurement: Develop KPls across the programs and implement metrics to track and assess them. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and refine processes.

Resource Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost efficiencies, and resource allocation to streamline operations and enhance the organization's ability to deliver on its mission.

Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all government reporting requirements, regulations and the employee handbook.

Partnership Development: Collaborate with schools, colleges, donors, and community organizations to build partnerships that strengthen the impact of Career and College Options.
