Individuals who have completed their education from institutions outside of the United States must provide a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts from an accredited evaluation agency.

Requirements / Qualifications

RECRUITMENT IS OPEN FOR ALL 7 HOUR, 3 HOUR AND SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. • Must have an AA degree or higher or at least 48 semester units of general education or pass an assessment test. • One year experience working with children in an organized setting; preferably in a Special Education setting. REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Knowledge of child guidance principles, especially as they relate to students with disabilities. • Knowledge of basic subjects taught in District schools. • Knowledge of educational technology and therapeutic equipment. • Ability to assist with instruction and related activities in an assigned special education program. • Ability to perform clerical duties and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. • Ability to supervise and provide behavior support to students according to approved policies and procedures. • Ability to reinforce instruction to students with disabilities, communication and behavioral challenges. • Potential exposure to blood, other bodily fluids, and children with aggressive behavior. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
