California Private Teachers is seeking an experienced and innovative educator to provide personalized homeschooling for a family in San Francisco. The teacher will support two gifted, accelerated children (ages 3 and 7) by designing and implementing an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum. This role emphasizes hands-on, play-based learning, social-emotional growth, executive functioning skills, and real-world experiences. Ideal candidates are creative, flexible, and passionate about alternative education, fostering intellectual curiosity and a love for learning beyond traditional methods.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Design and implement a customized curriculum that supports cognitive, social-emotional, and academic growth.
- Use science-based, play-based, and hands-on learning strategies tailored to gifted learners.
- Adapt lessons to individual learning styles and developmental stages.
- Foster confidence, independence, and interpersonal skills through social-emotional guidance.
- Integrate outdoor activities, arts, music, movement, and experiential learning.
- Organize enrichment activities, field trips, and collaborative learning opportunities.
- Encourage creativity, executive functioning, and a growth mindset.
- Collaborate with parents to create a well-rounded, engaging educational experience.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Gifted Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred). * Minimum of five years teaching, preferably with young learners and individualized instruction. * Strong background in alternative and progressive education, with a creative and adaptable approach. * Must reside in or be willing to commute to San Francisco for in-person instruction. * Willingness to travel with the family for global studies and experiential learning. * Mandarin proficiency is a plus-but not required.
