The Chawanakee Unified School District is within a 30-minute drive of Fresno, Madera, and Merced. We are located in Eastern Madera County, extending from the floor of the San Joaquin Valley to the crest of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, including a significant amount of territory in the Sierra National Forest. The district encompasses the communities of North Fork, O’Neals, Tesoro Viejo, and Millerton Preserve. Spectacular recreational areas of Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park surround North Fork while the San Joaquin River borders Tesoro Viejo and Millerton Preserve on the eastern side. Job Summary
Chawanakee Unified School District is seeking an inspiring Music Teacher who is responsible for teaching music education to students in middle school. To help students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which include singing, playing of instruments and performing. This position will serve North Fork Elementary, Spring Valley, and Hillside Elementary. Hours: Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day Start Date: August 11, 2025

Bachelor's Degree in Music and valid California Single Subject Credential or Intern Credential preferred.
