Requirements / Qualifications
Applications will be used to create an interest list for EDCOE's 2025 Special Services Extended School Year (ESY) program. In order to be eligible to work summer school, applicants will need to be onboarded into the substitute pool, which will require paperwork and other clearances (such as 48 college credits or a multiple choice test, lift/strength test, current TB clearance, and fingerprint clearance). ESY sites are located throughout El Dorado County and are subject to change.
Description: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, assist in supervising classroom, playground, and community activities of students with disabilities; present instructional material under the teacher’s direction to individual students or small groups; relieve teacher of routine clerical duties. Education Requirement: High school diploma or the equivalent, A.A. degree (or higher), or pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and evidence of insurability. Please note that all EDCOE Classified Substitute pool positions are on call, as needed and substitutes are at will employees. The El Dorado County Office of Education and our participating school districts greatly appreciate your interest in the Classified Substitute Pool. This pool or list is used to temporarily fill classified vacancies, or provide additional support to programs. Due to Merit System rules and regulations, the Classified Sub Pool is not used to fill permanent EDCOE positions. Please submit the following documents with your application:
