Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Services, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides students at the California School for the Blind (CSB) assessment and services in the areas of speech articulation; receptive, expressive, and written language development; phonological processing; functional communication; and social pragmatics. The SLP collaborates with teachers, other service providers, and parents to foster communication and social skills growth for all CSB students.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications A valid credential in either: o Clear Speech - Language Pathology Services Credential - Language, Speech, Hearing o Clear California Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, Hearing (If have preliminary credential, must have ability to have it cleared in the required timeframe) o A positive mindset and ability to collaborate as part of interdisciplinary assessment and service teams o Proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask, establish and rearrange priorities, and maintain focus on both short-term and long-terms goals Desired Qualifications • Experience serving blind and low vision students including students with additional disabilities. • Experience conducting routine hearing screenings Please refer to Duty Statement for further information related to job expectations.

• Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) Fingerprint Clearance.
