Position begins July 1, 2025 LUHSD is seeking a dedicated and committed Assistant Principal to join our leadership team. As a key member of our administrative staff, the Assistant Principal will support the Superintendent/Principal in fostering a positive school culture, enhancing student achievement, and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment for all students. Under the direction of the Superintendent/Principal, the Assistant Principal supports the administration of the school, providing leadership in instructional programs, student services, and campus operations. The role assists in maintaining a safe and effective learning environment while fostering student success, staff development, and community engagement. The Assistant Principal also serves as Acting Principal in the Principal's temporary absence.

Resume Three (3) letters of recommendation dated within the past 12 months Statement of Qualifications - Please refer to the questions below in the Explanation of Required Documents Valid California Administrative Credential Minimum 5 years of teaching experience and 1 year of administrative experience in an educational setting; required high school preferred Unofficial Transcripts - Official Upon Hire Clear TB Test/Assessment-Upon Hire Background Clearance - FBI/DOJ - Upon Hire
Statement of Qualifications - please provide 1-2 pages addressing the following: 1. Your leadership philosophy and how it aligns with the role of an Assistant Principal 2. Your experience supporting student achievement, staff development, and school operations. 3. A specific example of a challenge you have faced as an educator or administrator and how you handled it. 4. Your approach to building relationships with students, staff, parents, and community. To be considered for hire, candidates must meet the minimum requirements including a successful interview and reference checks.

Susanville offers a close-knit community atmosphere with access to year-round outdoor recreation, including hiking, fishing, and skiing. With its rich history, small-town charm, and strong community support for education, Lassen UHSD provides an exceptional environment for both students and staff.
The District pays $1,333.00 per month towards the benefit package for full-time staff.
