Job Summary
The Educational Audiologist will serve as a resource to IEP and 504 teams regarding placement and educational program considerations in difficult cases as they relate to hearing disorders, cochlear implants, central auditory processing disorders, and auditory skill development. Ensure students who are deaf and hard of hearing have appropriate auditory access through the use of assistive technology and modifications and accommodations designed to support individuals with hearing loss. An educational audiologist educates teachers, parents, and students on the management of hearing loss.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Master’s Degree in Audiology or Audiology/Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university. Experience: One or more years of experience as an Audiologist providing audiological services, auditory therapy, and consultation to staff and parents. Experience working in the public school setting and working with children with cochlear implants is desirable. License, Certifications and Other Requirements: • A valid license to practice Audiology in California issued by the Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board, or • CA CTC Audiology Credential
