Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Four years of experience in the HVAC field and an Associates Degree or completion of a formal apprenticeship in a specialized trade (HVAC Service/Controls, Industrial Electrical or Energy Management controls). LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: Requires a valid California Driver’s License. Requires EPA Certified for handling and recycling refrigerants.

SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process will include screening to ensure application is complete and applicant meets minimum qualifications. The process will include a written, performance, and oral exam scheduled for April 10, 2025. All qualified applicants will need a passing score of 70% on each examination. An eligibility list will be established and the top three ranked candidates from the list will receive a departmental interview. All examinations are based on the job description for the position. A district-wide eligibility list will be established, is valid for one year, and will be used to fill positions in this classification.
