A. General Description of Position Goals: Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, the Director I of Student Services is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing a comprehensive student services system to optimize student success in a positive school climate and culture. Student Services include registration, student discipline supports, and student health services. The Director will plan, organize, monitor, and direct the centralized Student Services Department. In addition, improve school climate and culture with the implementation of a district-wide Transformational Justice Model by integrating Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Restorative Justice (RJ), and Transformational Learning (Restorative Practices). This position is part of the Certificated Administrative Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience and education on the Certificated Administrative Unit Employee Salary schedule. PLEASE NOTE THE 2025-26 SALARY SCHEDULE IS PENDING - SALARY IS CURRENTLY BASED ON THE 2024-25 SALARY SCHEDULE.

This position is categorically-funded and is temporary, requiring a contract on an annual basis as it is based on funding availability.
The Mariposa County Unified School District is located in Mariposa County and serves grades K-12. With approximately 1,700 students, the area consists of several necessary small schools, K-8 schools and one comprehensive high school.
Mariposa County has several rural communities that surround Yosemite National Park and are centrally-located in California to provide a day's drive to old-growth forests, deserts, coastal communities and cities.
