Job Summary

Job Summary

The Special Education Teacher provides direct instruction and case management for students with special needs. The Special Education Teacher provides support, guidance, and consultative services to staff members and parents in order to support the educational program for students with special needs including academic and social/emotional needs. The incumbent is expected to provide ongoing student assessment and evaluation. The Special Education Teacher is expected to work cooperatively with team members and others to enable the departments to provide the highest level of service possible. Creativity and productivity is encouraged and valued. The incumbent is expected to work in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.
