Applicants meet credentialing requirements for this position with one or more of the following: (1) Single Subject Art (2) Introductory Subject Matter and Supplemental Authorization in Art/Visual Art (3) Subject Matter Authorization in Art/Visual Art AND: (4) Experience / background in teaching Ceramics to children

In addition to having an appropriate Art credential, applicants will need the additional Artistic and Technical Skills: -Proficiency in Various Art Forms: Knowledge of drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. -Specialized Ceramics Knowledge: A strong understanding of ceramics techniques and processes, from handbuilding and wheel throwing to glazing and firing. -Art Techniques for Youth: Understanding how to break down complex concepts and adapt techniques for middle school students. -Art Materials Knowledge: Familiarity with different media, tools, and supplies used in ceramics and other art forms.
