Our campus is spacious and surrounded by property that our programs can access, including pasture land, walking trails, livestock pens, and city services. A renewed focus on engagement, hands-on learning, and academic achievement form the foundation of our plans for the future. Butte Valley Unified is seeking staff who value collaboration, engaged learning, community involvement, and high academic standards. About or Communty: Butte Valley Unified School District is located between Klamath Falls and Mount Shasta. Our valley is a paradise for agriculture, nature lovers, and small-town culture. Real estate is among the most affordable in California and nearby Klamath Falls has no sales tax. This makes it possible for our staff to find a unique combination of low cost of living and good quality of life.

Butte Valley High School is a Necessary Small School. Necessary Small Schools have flexibility for staffing in terms of credential requirements, especially with electives. We have needs in the areas of Math, Science, PE, Spanish, and electives. Our teachers typically teach three or four periods of core subjects plus electives or interventions the remainder of the day.

Our ideal candidate is someone who cares about students, has high standards, and enjoys a diverse rural school environment. We seek candidates who have high school single subject credentials and are able to offer an engaging elective class, such as arts, CTE, aviation, etc. If you have a single-subject credential and a hobby that could form a class, you are the ideal candidate for BVHS!
