Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the SELPA Director, this position interacts with Local Educational Agencies (LEA), Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), and County Office of Education (COE) administrators, teachers, and improvement team members across the state to facilitate and support improvement efforts that build the capacity of teams and educational organizations to engage in continuous improvement activities for the purpose of improving outcomes for students with disabilities.

Requirements / Qualifications

Home office required - location flexible within California. Frequent regional and statewide travel required. This is a 100% grant-funded position through the SELPA System Improvement Lead grant with an anticipated grant end date of June 2028, unless the grant is extended or additional funding can be obtained to extend the grant beyond the end date. Education: Valid Special Education Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential or California Administrative Services Credential or Master’s Degree in education or related field with a valid California credential. Experience: Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an educational setting in programs that may include special education or general education:

  • Certification (California Administrative Services Credential)
  • Copy of Transcript
  • Credential Copy (Special Education Credential)
  • Letter of Introduction
