Under the general direction of the Director/Principal, the School Nurse plans and provides certain identified health services in connection with ACOE’s Parenting Teens high schools and Early Intervention Infant Program for infants and toddlers with disabilities and developmental delays. This position serves approximately 40 students located at two small school sites and 45 home-based infant students throughout the county. First Screening: 4/15/2025
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: o Valid California School Nurse Services Credential or be eligible for a Preliminary School Nurse Services Credential at time of hire.** (required) o Valid Registered Nurse in the State of California (required) o B.A. or B.S degree from an accredited college or university (required) o Master’s Degree in Science Nursing or related health field (preferred) Experience: o Experience working with pregnant and parenting teens o Experience working with infants/toddlers with special needs o Experience working with Newcomer students and diverse families Certificates: o Public Health Nurse Certificate (required or willing to Obtain) o California School Audiometrist Certificate (required or willing to Obtain) o Valid CPR & 1st Aid Certification (required) o Valid State of California driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record (required) Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance, Tuberculosis Clearance
