Job Summary

Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Educational Services, supports countywide improvement in curriculum, assessment, instruction, professional learning, academic coaching and standards implementation by providing resources facilitation and coordination functions. Provides guidance and support to local school districts, especially in the areas of California State Standards implementation and District/school improvement.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Five (5) years of classroom teaching experience including two (2) years of leadership at the school or district level in the development and implementation of curriculum, instruction, assessment, or evaluation; - Valid California Teaching Credential or equivalent including an EL authorization (ex: CLAD; BCLAD [Spanish preferred]); Credentials from out of the State of California will be evaluated to determine appropriate fulfillment of requirements; - Administrative Credential or be in the process of obtaining an Administrative Credential or Pupil Personnel Services desirable; - Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver's License; - Provide proof of automobile insurability; - Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance. Employee will be a member of the State Teachers’ Retirement System (STRS) and may elect to be a member of the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees Union. MCOE does not participate in the Social Security system.
