Job Summary
The Assistant Superintendent, Business Services serves as the Chief Business Official (CBO) of the Fountain Valley School District, providing strategic leadership and oversight of key financial and operational functions, including fiscal services, food services, purchasing, facilities, transportation, and maintenance and operations. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, this position ensures the effective management of district resources to support educational excellence, long-term financial planning, and compliance with state and federal regulations while collaborating with stakeholders on budgetary, legislative, and facility initiatives.
Requirements / Qualifications
CERTIFICATED APPLICANTS: *Master’s degree *Valid California Administrative Credential *Three (3) years of successful teaching experience *Five (5) years of successful, full-time administrative experience CLASSIFIED APPLICANTS: *Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, public administration, or a related field *Master’s or doctorate (preferred) *Five (5) years of successful, responsible, full-time business management experience DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: *Master’s or Doctorate in a business-related field *Experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Business Manager in a public school district *Chief Business Official (CBO) Certification
