TITLE: School Psychologist Intern JOB GOAL: The School Psychologist Intern works with a supervising psychologist and is responsible for the identification, placement, and follow-up of students referred for special education assessment at a specific school site. The School Psychologist Intern will also provide consultation to teachers and counseling of special education students under the supervision of supervising psychologist. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Administer cognitive, adaptive, social-emotional, visual motor, auditory, and academic tests. - Observe and conduct alternative assessments; complete and interpret the results - Participate and present findings at IEP meetings. - Participate in SST meetings. - Conduct three-year evaluations, write reports, and conduct IEP meetings. - Observe students in a variety of settings. - Consult with teachers, administrators, parents, and community resources regarding students in special education as well as students in regular education. - Observe and conduct a Functional Behavior Assessment or other behavior interventions. - Participate in a school program, such as crisis intervention team, develop 504 accommodations, and refer to outside agencies. - Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Meet requirements for a psychologist internship through an accredited institution. EDUCATION: Must meet the requirements for candidacy of a master’s degree in School Psychology, from an accredited institution. REPORTS TO AND EVALUATED BY: Supervising Psychologist TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: August 2025-May 2026; 32 on site hours per week minimum.
