Superintendent/Principal of Lakeside Joint School District About the Employer The Lakeside Joint School District is a small “jewel” nestled in the hills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, straddling both Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties, overlooking Silicon Valley. Established in 1881 the history of Lakeside School is deeply intertwined with the Los Gatos and the Santa Cruz Mountains. Lakeside Joint School District is a PreK-8 school district and serves preschool through 5th grade on the Lakeside School campus on Black Road. Lakeside’s middle school students currently attend middle school in one of three neighboring school districts. This District has a rare combination of community support, outstanding, dedicated employees, and a clear vision for supporting children for success in the 21st Century. Summary of the Position The Lakeside Joint School District (LJSD) Board of Trustees is seeking as its next educational leader someone with superior interpersonal and communication skills, who will demonstrate an open, collaborative and inclusive management style. Beginning July 1, 2025, this successful candidate will be someone experienced in elementary school operations and will lead the District to the next level of achievement, while embracing and supporting all that has been accomplished in this beautiful, mountain community. The new District leader will be highly visible and active in the school, as well as visible and involved in the community. Further, they will have the ability to foster strong, cooperative relationships with all stakeholders. Requirements / Qualifications

Applicants will be required to provide a completed well-written EDJOIN application, letter of intent, resume, three (3) current letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to your ability to lead in a district like Lakeside Joint School District, with one of those being from a current supervisor/evaluator (letters no older than two years), copies of all credentials held (with one of those being a CA Administrative Services Credential), and copies of transcripts.
