Middle School Science Teacher – Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to join our team. Under the direction of the Administrator/Coordinator, the teacher will provide engaging and effective instruction aligned with the Common Core State Science Standards, including NGSS. This role requires creating a dynamic and supportive classroom environment where students can explore scientific concepts through active learning and hands-on experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student achievement, employ diverse instructional strategies to meet various learning needs, and foster a positive and structured classroom culture. Responsibilities include lesson planning, maintaining an up-to-date online gradebook, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in school-wide initiatives such as staff development and student support meetings. Candidates should hold a valid California Single-Subject Foundational Science Credential or equivalent authorization in a science-related subject, along with EL authorization. Experience with Project-Based Learning is preferred. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
