We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Administrator to join our Valley ROP team. The Valley ROP Health Science Administrator has primary responsibility and authority to administer the Valley ROP Nursing Assistant Programs under the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) authority. This position reports on matters relating to teaching, advising students, student training, utilizing and teaching the state-required Nursing Assistant curriculum, program revisions, clinical site management, textbook selection (if applicable), and Nursing Assistant pass rates on state examinations in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of Valley ROP. Under direct supervision of the Valley ROP Direct of Instructional Services, the Valley ROP Health Science Administrator has primary responsibility and authority to administer the Valley ROP Nursing Assistant Programs. This position reports on matters relating to teaching, advising students, student training, utilizing and teaching the state required Nursing Assistant curriculum, program revisions, clinical site management, textbook selection (if applicable), and Nursing Assistant pass rates on state examinations in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of Valley ROP.
Requirements / Qualifications

Three letters of recommendation, a detailed resume, or other documents summarizing the employment history. 3. A photocopy of the applicant’s California Teaching Credential. Applicants wishing to be considered on the basis of their eligibility for the credential must submit documentation (e.g. photocopies of transcripts, CBEST card, etc.) supporting their eligibility for meeting the credential requirements at the time of the application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to request that materials be sent to Valley ROP well in advance of the posted deadline.
Possession of a valid California Registered Nurses (RN) Licensure. Five years Minimum experience as a Registered Nurses (RN) o Two (2) years of experience as a licensed nurse providing direct patient care in a long term care facility o (1) year of experience planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs in nursing (DSD); or (2) Two years of full time experience as a licensed nurse, at least one year of which must be in the provision of direct patient care in a nursing facility. Within six (6) months of employment and prior to teaching a certification program, the Director of Staff Development or Instructor shall obtain a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education courses in planning, implementing and evaluation educational programs in nursing. These must either be courses approved by the Board of Registered Nursing or courses administered by an accredited educational institution. A transcript of successfully completed courses shall be sent to the Department and shall be used as a basis for approval of the qualifications of the Director of Staff Development or Instructor. A copy of the transcript shall be kept on file at the nursing facility, agency or public educational institution. o Valid California Driver’s License.

Comments and Other Information
Appropriate placement on Valley ROP Certificated Management Salary Schedule. 80 workdays/year. Retirement benefits are accrued through State Teachers Retirement System (STRS).
Expected hours: 16-22 per week.
