POSITION: Education Coordinator JOB CODE: ESETC OCCUPATIONAL GROUPING: Education REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Educational Services CLASSIFICATION: Exempt POSITION TYPE: Full Time/ Full Year (12-Months) SALARY GRADE: 37 MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $5,454.70 to $6,020.96 ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $65,456.35 to $72,251.46 LOCATION: City of Industry, CA PROGRAM SUMMARY Plaza de la Raza Child Development Services, Inc. (Plaza) is a comprehensive early childhood education program with a focus on school readiness for children zero to five years of age. Developmentally appropriate services are provided for children from low-income families, zero to five years of age. Plaza de la Raza currently serves over 700 children and their families. DEFINITION Under general direction, this position assists with the planning, organization and implementation of education and training programs involving staff and selected transitional programs, including family and community partnerships, enrollment and attendance, program governance, education, health, nutrition, disabilities special needs services, mental health, and family services. Promotes classroom and administrative services as outlined in federal, state, local and grantee GIMS. Works in conjunction with the Department of Social Service and Community Care Licensing to communicate educational standards used in all classrooms. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED General direction and supervision is provided by the Assistant Director of Educational Services and Center Operations. Supervision is exercised over the Site Supervisor, Preschool Teacher, Preschool Assistant Teacher, Infant-Toddler Teacher Aide, Classroom Aide and Family Child Care Provider. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with agency staff, children, parents, and outside agencies. • Ensures compliance with Department of Social Services, Community
