Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Superintendent, plan, organize, control, and direct District-wide human resources operations and activities including the recruitment, screening, examination, selection, processing, classification, and compensation of classified and certificated employees; coordinate and direct communications, information, labor negotiations, employee evaluation functions, and employee record-keeping to meet the human resources needs of the District; serve as chief executive officer for the Personnel Commission; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: • Possession of Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required; • Possession of Ed.D. or Ph.D. is preferred. Experience: • Seven years of successful administrative experience, required; • District level experience highly desirable; • Negotiations experience highly desirable; • Human Resources experience highly desirable; • Demonstrated competence in Certificated and Classified Personnel, including merit system experience highly desirable.
