Job Summary

Job Summary

The Senior Specialist, Direct Technical Assistance (DTA), for the CCEE reports to the Deputy Executive Director or their designated representative. This role involves researching, developing, and implementing initiatives and policies guided by the collection, analysis, and interpretation of impact data. The Senior Specialist Direct Technical Assistance, assists the CCEE as a trusted data expert, collaborating with educational partners to identify challenges, opportunities for growth to ensure policies and strategic actions are based on implementation data and are responsive to the identified needs of Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and students in California. The Senior Specialist, DTA, will provide leadership and support to administration of DTA and its spectrum of supports to assist LEAs, and other initiatives aligned with CCEE’s mission, vision, goals, and priorities. This role requires strong research and analytical skills necessary to understand and apply complex policies impacting Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) priority areas, LEA accountability and improvement efforts. This role requires working independently, and the ability to effectively manage a broad range of responsibilities, sometimes under pressure, and quickly adapt as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years in project management experience in education, or a related field, with preferable 2 of these years within a school district or county office of education. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: ? Valid California driver’s license required Please review attached Position Announcement. Conditions of Employment: Employees are required to submit to a Department of Justice background check and provide proof of freedom from tuberculosis.
