Visions In Education is seeking a highly skilled educator and leader to serve as our Special Education Manager. The Special Education Manager will serve as an educational leader and be responsible for assisting in leading, managing, coordinating and supervising the special education department and staff. The Special Education Manager is responsible for ensuring high quality instructional practices and programs, collaborative relationships, preparing students to be successful citizens, and college and career ready. The Special Education Manager will serve as an instructional leader supporting the design, oversite, and implementation of high quality instructional programs and services for students with disabilities. The Special Education Manager will report to the Director of Special Education. Professionals with experience working with technology and virtual tools are desired. In addition, previous administrative experience, educational experience serving students with disabilities and knowledge of independent study program or charter school models is preferred. Educational experience serving students with unique needs through home school, independent study, and/or alternative education models is desirable. Visions In Education offers a very generous, competitive benefits package that includes options for 100% employer-paid Medical/Dental/Vision (single), retirement (CalSTRS/CalPERS), and time off including vacation, holidays, and sick days. This position will be based at our offices in Carmichael, CA (our offices are moving to Gold River, CA in June of 2025) and will have flexibility to work remotely up to 2-3 days per week depending on the needs of the organization. The position will include travel to all counties served by Visions.
