Job Summary
The Educational audiologist will support the identification, intervention and education of children with hearing loss. The audiologist will assess and evaluate the degree of hearing impairment; assist in determining an appropriate educational program; provide liaison with community agencies; monitor condition of equipment and educate parents to intervention and educational resources. Actual responsibilities may range depending on the needs of the educational program.
Requirements / Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Audiology from an accredited university. • Valid Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential with an Authorization in Audiology*. *Candidates who do not currently hold a valid Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential with an Authorization in Audiology (or an equivalent credential) may still be eligible to apply if they possess the required documentation for credential application. To confirm eligibility requirements for the Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential with an Authorization in Audiology, please visit the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) webpage: Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credentials (CL-610). • Valid California Driver’s License. • Certificate in Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech and Hearing Association desired.
