Job Summary

Job Summary

Basic Function: Under the general direction of the Director of Safe and Supportive Schools, coordinates all phases of planning and implementing services for the foster youth and homeless education grant programs; performs technical duties in serving as a liaison between schools, group homes, placing agencies, shelters and other community supports to ensure the educational needs are met for students in foster care or those experiencing homelessness.

Requirements / Qualifications

Edjoin Application Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of experience working with foster youth, homeless students, at-risk youth or similar programs. Prior experience coordinating school related projects and a bachelor's degree in a closely related field is desirable. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: DMV PN, Mandated Reporter Training, Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance & Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Employee must provide their own transportation. Must provide proof of insurance if using own vehicle in the course of employment.
