Requirements / Qualifications

Three years of clerical or secretarial experience involving frequent public contact and one year of law enforcement dispatch experience. General telephone operator, transportation dispatcher, or military experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. (MUST show on application in Work History) 4. Contact Information for Three (3) Professional References: current/former supervisors/coworkers (MUST be provided on application in professional references section)- please include email addresses. REQUIRED TO BE UPLOADED IN ATTACHMENTS: 1. A current resume 2. Cover letter outlining your experience as it pertains to the minimum requirements of the position 3. Two (2) Professional Letters of Recommendation from current/former supervisors/coworkers (both MUST have physical signature and be DATED within one year) - digital signatures not accepted 4. DMV Printout: MUST be within last 30 days (no older) - please see link under "Links Related to this Job" for CA DMV Printout website - must possess a valid CA Drivers License 5. Typing Test: adjusted/net speed 55wpm minimum on a 3-5 minute test (results must show name, WPM results and length of test) - online tests accepted 6. Certificate of P.O.S.T. Dispatcher course completion 7. Certificate of Department of Justice certified CLETS course completion 8. Valid CPR/First Aid certification required (no online courses) - please note that BLS (Basic Life Support - CPR/AED) does not include First Aid training & is not valid for this position* *can upload proof of registration in an upcoming, in-person First Aid class in lieu of card Required upon hire: 1. Certificate stating freedom from tuberculosis. 2. Valid CA Drivers License
