The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) is made up of 44 schools serving preschool-12th grade with approximately 33,000 students in grades TK-12. The District Office hosts twenty-three district level departments that serve the school sites. School sites feature many facility upgrades with vibrant libraries due to the community support of the Measure E bond. Education: Equivalent to completion of a bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, business or related field. Five (5) years of site or school district administrative experience. Preferred completion of a School Business Management Program such as University of Southern California (USC), California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), or Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Academies Successful experience in and ability to: • Knowledge of Pre-K-Adult education. • Experience in analyzing, managing and implementing solutions to complex and sensitive problems. • Demonstrated leadership skills and organizational understanding to effectively translate concepts to action. • Initiative and ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team. • Ability to organize work effectively to achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous projects, distribute appropriate effort among projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high level of productivity and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to prepare and deliver oral presentations, written reports, correspondences, proposals, and other material for a variety of audiences. • Ability to bridge differences among persons of different backgrounds and establish among those persons positive and effective working partnerships with the schools, community, and District.

The Fremont Unified School District is a Merit System District and fills all vacancies in the classified service through competitive examinations. All applications and supplemental information will be reviewed to determine the candidates whose training and experience most closely match the requirements of the position. Those who pass the initial screening will be invited to participate in the testing process, which may include written, oral and/or performance exams. The testing results will determine the rank of the candidates from which an eligibility list is prepared. Selection will be made from the top three ranks on the list.
