This internship offers placements at TK-8 campuses and/or Comprehensive High Schools within the Alhambra Unified School District. Interns will contribute to academic, social/emotional, and career development for students, staff, and families. Interventions may include individual and group academic support, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Social Emotional Learning (SEL) presentations, parent training, and college/career exploration. Common areas of need include truancy, homelessness, mental health concerns (depression, anxiety, grief, etc.), academic support, and behavioral challenges. The primary goal is to maximize the developmental potential of all students.
